ROSE FLINT PROFILE

 

    Rose FlintRose Flint is a writer and artist. She was brought up on the edge of the countryside in the Midlands , close to fields and woods that offered ever-changing delights of flowers and creatures. Witnessing the decimation of the English landscape by large-scale farming and understanding its ecological impact, she was instrumental in setting up a Green Party in Shropshire , whilst, tuning her own writing to this most important issue of our time. Her spiritual journey took her into British Paganism, and she spent five years apprenticed in the Native American tradition, before becoming part of the Goddess movement, fusing a deep sense of the personal and political, the spiritual and the earthy, in the practice of a Priestess. Rose Flint teaches Creative Writing, is an Art Therapist, and works as a Writer in Healthcare. She has numerous awards for poetry including winning the Cardiff International Poetry Competition with her eco-poem ‘The Field.’ She has four collections, Blue Horse of Morning (Seren), Firesigns (Poetry Salzburg), Nekyia (Stride) and Mother of Pearl (PSAvalon). Her work can be found in many magazines and anthologies.
