KAREN E SHELTON PROFILE

    Karen E Shelton & Jenkins, her loyal companionKaren E Shelton was born in northern California, moved to England in her teens, divided time between England and the US over many years (became an English citizen in the 1960s). Married for 18 years to a New York Times journalist, travelled extensively. She had one son, adopted a female baby from India, cherishes a long list of pets. Lifelong writer/photographer, member of the NUJ (National Union of Journalists), a Quaker, works with the Transition Town movement in Totnes. Anthology, A Women's Guide To Saving The World, published in 2008. The Message, poetry with Jay Ramsay, published in 2002. Karen has resided in New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Austria and India. Moved to Devon in 2004 and currently lives in Stoke Gabriel on the River Dart (not far from Totnes). Primary goals now are to get more work into print, develop a Community Land Trust where she could own a carbon neutral hemp house, promote the values of the Green Party and use her writing skills to heighten awareness of the interconnectedness of all life.
